Teresa has been both a valued friend and business associate to Rhonda and me for a number of years. We’ve both had a number of great experiences buying & selling property with Teresa. She has helped us both sell houses individually and has also helped Rhonda find and purchase a beautiful condo in downtown Columbia. Each one of these experiences has been a pleasure, but the experience that we will always be the most grateful for is our most recent home purchase.

A few years ago, we decided to buy a home together & we naturally called Teresa. Everyone has a different ideal house that they are looking for – we wanted a house that wasn't too large or expensive, but was close to downtown and on water. Our friends & family had their doubts, but Teresa told us it was possible if we were patient. Early one morning, Teresa contacted us and said she had found the house we were looking for – the house was in a beautiful, older, wooded neighborhood on a small lake near the Saluda River. It was really a dream come true for us.

Because of Teresa's guidance & quick action, we were able to make an offer on the house before the “For Sale” sign was in the yard. Even though it was a Friday and both the owner & her selling agent were out of town, Teresa had the documents sent electronically, and we had a contract on the house by that night. Because of Teresa's insight into what we were looking for, knowledge of the Columbia area and her real estate expertise, our expectations were exceeded. We will always be appreciative that Teresa found this wonderful place that we call our home.

The idea of buying a house in Columbia long distance from Wisconsin was daunting to say the least. It was June, and my partner and I were starting as new faculty at USC in the fall. Our summer plans
prevented us from being able to spend more than a few days on the
ground in Columbia looking for a new home before the move, an event
scheduled for three weeks after our house-hunting visit. Our first
question to Teresa - "Is this possible? Can we find a home in four
days, ready to move into in three weeks?" She said, "Challenging, but
yes."

From the very beginning over e-mail and the phone, Teresa was thorough and thoughtful. She asked great questions that both expanded and refined our search. She was able to speak to what we could expect
moving to a new city, and was quick to think through what neighborhoods might be a good fit. She listened to us and was truly responsive to our needs and concerns. When we finally were able to visit Columbia, she gave us her full and tireless attention during our four day visit. When it came time to negotiate, she again was the consummate listener and advocate. Her sense of the market is clear and intelligent, and her negotiating style is firm and effective.
